MICHAEL M. GALE, PH.D.
Assistant Professor, Springfield College
Dr. Michael Gale is an Assistant Professor at Springfield College. He earned his PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University at Albany. His research is focused on oppression and social justice among marginalized and privileged social identities, social identity, health disparities, and psychological well-being of racial minorities, and training of multicultural competency.

Dr. Gale teaches courses in the Counseling Psychology Psy.D. program in the Department of Psychology. Current course offerings include Doctoral Practicum and Personality Assessment.
​
Dr. Gale began providing psychological treatment in 2010 and currently maintains a part-time private practice. He is contracted by the Westminster School to provide psychological support to students and their families. He provides clinical supervision to students in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Yale University. He provides organizational consultation with focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
